Fairer prices and fewer pub closures

Fairer prices and fewer pub closures, now wouldn't that be great? Wouldn't we all like that?

There may be a way that this can happen, that is if the MP's do the right thing tomorrow and support the Select Committees who have worked hard to get to the truth of the matter.

Tomorrow, Thursday 12th Jan the Business, Innovations and Skills Committee will have the issue debated in the House and MP's will be able to vote on the issue. BISC Chairman, Adrian Bailey is expected to call for a Free of Tie option with an open market rent review to be included in and Codes of Practice and to ask the government to commission a review of self regulation of the pub industry in the autumn of 2012.

Pubs need your help if you could drop a quick line to your MP then that would be really helpful. Camra have already done the hard work for you so all you have to do is follow the link http://campaign.publicaffairsbriefing...

Cheers and long live the Great British Pub!

Ministers face Commons defeat......... and so they should! It is a disgrace 4 Select Committee hearings all found the pubcos wanting, all 3 main parties agreed to reform prior to the GE and the ministers appear to have jumped into bed with those found wanting. It's an absolute disgrace, what the hell do they think they are playing at????
